The Air India Express flight after traveling for 2 hours from Calicut it was in midair when technical issue detected, the pilot in command decided to make a U-turn and return to the original position Calicut airport.

The cabin’s air conditioning system was identified as the root cause of the issue, which, although non-critical, led to the return to Calicut for safety reasons.
All the 188 passengers are safe. They have disembarked safely. They regret the inconvenience of the passengers as well.
IndiGo scheduled a replacement aircraft to operate the flight, setting the new departure time for 1:30 PM IST.
