An American Airlines flight AA323 landing gear catches fire during takeoff at Denver international airport.

The Boeing 737 Max 8 took off from Denver (DEN) to Miami (MIA). As soon as it took off, the plane’s landing gear faced a tire malfunction.

All the 171 passengers and six crew on board were said to be safe except one passenger being taken to hospital for treatment.

The flight had a departure time of 1:10 p.m. local time. But it came on the runway late and the incident happened around 2:45 p.m as the flight crossed gate C34.

The plane was handed over to the maintenance team for inspection and the FAA is investigating the incident.

Due to this incident, the airport was shut down temporarily, which affects other aircraft for departure.

The airline arranged another flight for passengers to Miami International Airport (MIA) later in the evening.
