IndiGo Flight 6E5118 was diverted to Delhi due to a minor technical snag on IndiGo flight 6E5118. As a precautionary step, the pilots decided to turn around and landed back safely at Indra Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.
OPERATOR: IndiGo
TYPE CODE: A21N
AIRCRAFT: Airbus A321-251NX
A minor technical snag was detected soon after takeoff on flight 6E5118 operating from Delhi to Imphal on 17th July 2025.
It was around 10:30 in the morning when the craft took off from Delhi airport. It was headed to Imphal but in midair the pilot realized there were some issue with the craft. He decided to turn back to the base, which is Delhi’s Indra Gandhi International Airport, upon landing, which is a safe landing once again, which has been reiterated by Indigo. The check and inspection of the craft has been done.
This is due to the heightened safety regime that we have in the wake of the AI71 crash.
But nevertheless, of course, it’s more important that people and passengers and crew are safe. The flight safely landed first and then resumed the journey after checks.
