F-16 Crashes During Radom Air Show Rehearsal — Pilot Killed

What Happened

  • A Polish Air Force F- 16C Block 52+ fighter jet, from the Tiger Demo Team, crashed at Radom Airport during  practices  for the  forthcoming Radom Air Show.
  • The crash  happened at  roughly 19:25 original time( 17:25 GMT) on August 28, 20:25. 
  • The  jet struck the runway during an aerobatic manoeuvre , burst into pieces upon impact, and the pilot tragically did n’t survive. 

Pilot and Aftermath

  • The airman was  linked as Major Maciej “ SLAB ” Krakowian, the commander of the Tiger Demo Team. 
  • officers verified that no injuries  passed on the ground. 
  • In response, the Radom Air Show  listed for August 30 – 31, 2025, has been cancelled. 

Government Reaction

Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, Władysław Kosiniak- Kamysz, visited the crash point and expressed grim condolences. 

“ In the F- 16 crash, a Polish Army airman  failed — an officer who always served his country with dedication and great courage. This is a great loss for the Air Force ”
